Brittany Pickrem is the owner of a boutique design agency where she helps businesses and entrepreneurs build and boost their brand with smart, sophisticated design services that will help them get noticed while breaking free from the visual clutter. She has worked with personal brands, non-profit organizations, and large corporations such as People Bright Consulting Inc., the IWK Foundation, Bissett Financial Fitness Inc. and Helping Nature Heal. With over 11 years of brand design experience, she understands the power of a great brand and how it can transform businesses. 

Brittany joins me today to talk about her mindset shift from creative, to CEO and how she’s learned to scale her business. She explains the importance of grit and determination, no matter the circumstances, and why building a strong support network is essential to any entrepreneur’s success. 1. Make friends with your fears – avoiding them does nothing for you. Just go do it! 
2. Work on your weaknesses no matter how scary they are. 
3. Be persistent, listen to and trust yourself. Don’t let ‘no’ be the end.  
4. Take a calculated risk. 
5. Do things on your own timeline – don’t be in a race. Take your time and tune others out. 
6. Cultivate a growth mindset.
